‘Harry Potter’ Actress’ Brother Sentenced in Her ‘Honor Beating’ Fox news January 21,2011-Fox The brother of the Muslim actress Afshan Azad, who played Padma Patil in the “Harry Potter” films, was sentenced to six months in prison Thursday for beating his sister after he heard her talking to her Hindu boyfriend.  Ashraf Azad, 28, called his sister a “prostitute” and screamed ”Marry a Muslim or you die!” During a three-hour beating, during which, the actress said in a Manchester, England court, she feared for her life. Afshan Azad, 21, was punched, strangled, and dragged by her hair by her brother, but she still pleaded for the judge’s leniency during the sentencing hearing, and asked he not be jailed. Judge Roger Thomas would not hear of it, noting, ”The background to this offense lies in the concern that you, and perhaps other family members, had about Afshan’s relationship with a young man who was not of the Islamic faith.” The judge also pointed out the “persistent attack was accompanied by serious and very hurtful abuse and threats. It must have been a miserable and frightening experience for your sister.” ”This is a sentence that is designed to punish you for what you did and also to send out a clear message to others that domestic violence involving circumstances such as have arisen here cannot be tolerated,” the judge said. Afshan Azad’s family members recounted in court a harrowing night in which her father and mother also called her names, made threats and started making plans to give her away in an arranged marriage to a Muslim man in Bangladesh. “I’m going to kill you. I’m actually going to kill you,” the brother said, according to court testimony. He was then heard shouting, “Where are the knives?” Apparenty his own wife had already hidden them. “She was told she had to marry a Muslim or you die,” prosecutor Richard Vardon said. Afshan Azad snuck out a window the next morning. “She realized she would have to leave and felt she could not live any longer in that environment,” Vardon said. Note: These are not the actions and threats of radicals who have “hijacked” Islam. These are the beliefs and behavior of all Muslims.

This goes along with the “Honor Kilings” they have been talking about on FoxNews. Like the 20 year old girl Noor Almalek who was murdered by her father after he ran her over with a jeep becase she had become too westernized. She had refused an aranged marriage when she was 17 and was not in the good graces of the family ever since.

I guess all Christians are so perfect, they never do bad things. When Muslims do bad things, it is the easy way out to blame the religion and its teachings as well as all the other Muslims (over a billion people!) How many of you Islam haters did objective and proper research about the religion itself? Have you ever red a page from the Qur’an? Honor killings, forced marriages, and many other terrible actions are forbidden in Islam. Read and find out for yourself. Of course that is if you are interested in learning aside from just making accusations. There are over a billion of Muslims all around the world. They all have different lives, views, good actions and bad ones also. Because we are human. We are human, just like you lot. Now, if you can say all Christians are perfect and they never sin, then I feel bad for you. When a maniac happens to be a Christian and kills people or does other terrible things, I don’t blame it on the teachings of Christianity. I blame them, the guilty person only.
Anyway. Why am I wasting my time trying to explain something that is so obvious? Carry on.

    Dear, whoever you are,

To answer your question, Yes, I have read the entire Qur’an. Have you? In fact, I have written a book Islam vs. Christianity. Go to and you can see it. You should read it before you make your unfounded assumptions. I do not believe all who claim to be Muslims are bad people. Neither do I claim that all professing Christians are good.
However, I do know what the Qur’an teaches, I know what the New Testament teaches, and they are light years apart. The New Testament never teaches that you should harm anyone. However, if you know anything, you know the consequences of leaving Islam for any other religion.
So, please don’t talk to me about the goodness, mercy, and love practiced by Islam. I do know what I am talking about, and you do not. I do blame the behavior of Muslims on the teachings of the Qur’an, the hadiths, and Sharia Laws. If you would love to live under these, you should join them.
